The story
The story behind Mornington Peninsula Decking Co.
Dean started Mornington Peninsula Decking Co because he was frustrated watching Peninsula homeowners get let down by builders who didn't understand local conditions, local councils, or local expectations.
Having worked in the building trade on the Peninsula for over 15 years, Dean knew that building a deck down here isn't the same as building one in the suburbs. The coastal salt air around Portsea and Sorrento chews through the wrong materials. The clay soils in Frankston and Langwarrin shift in summer and winter. The sloping blocks throughout Mount Eliza and Red Hill require footings and framing most domestic deck builders simply don't have experience with.
Dean built this business around one core principle: do the job right, treat people well, and the rest takes care of itself.
We work on all types of properties across the Peninsula — from classic weatherboards near Frankston's Olivers Hill to lifestyle acreages in Red Hill and Main Ridge, holiday shacks-turned-dream-homes near Point Leo, and premium coastal builds near Portsea and Sorrento. Each one is different. Each one matters.
